Joey Roth has designed a really nice tea pot, with a very contemporary attitude. Sorapot is a unique teapot, that is very far from the ceramic pots with pink flowers which your grandmother might have.

It’s architectural shape and simpleness, I think contributes to the calm that you might be looking for when you want to drink a cup of tea. With new materials and a simple form, Joey has managed to do something new and exciting from an old traditional thing. Or what do you think?

Cell phone charger for bike

I’ve seen a lot of different types of chargers connected to the DYMO before, but it’s nice that the global giant, Nokia, decides to venture into the game, with a mobile charger for the bike.

Acording Nokia, a bike ride in 10 minutes in about 10 km / h produces enough electricity to use your phone in 28 minutes. If you have it on standby, it should be sufficient for 37 hours. It will not cost more than about 150 SEK and that it may actually be worth.

This is supposed to be a product that Nokia will launch mainly in developing countries, where electricity is scarce. But it will be available in all Nokia dealers worldwide, before the year is over. A perfect gadget for a cycling holiday. Imagine riding a bicycle over the hills of Österlen and simultaneously charge your mobile phones. Remember, it is possible to be environmentally friendly and a geek at the same time.

Practical rack for newspapers

I like to buy and read magazines of all kinds. It can be home decor magazines, outdoor magazine, MacWorld, etc. But after a while they are lying on the kitchen table, on the sofa and all over the apartment. I really need one of these. It’s the German company Linea1, who has designed this practical rack for magazines and newspapers.

Since it’s produced in sections, they can be installed consecutively to the desired length. I’d probably need a few meters …

Smart collapsible berry picker

I received an email from Kerstin Gunnarsson, who has invented a folding berry picker. Very funny, especially since I myself am a big outdoor guy that gladly take a walk in the woods and fields. This berry picker can be bought at DesignTorget and Naturkompaniet or via Kerstins own website, Hooked on Nature. Bjorn-Åke Sköld (Sköld Design) made the design, and I think he has succeeded quite well.

The berry picker is simple, light and flexible. It holds 1.2 liters when it’s unfolded and is easy to take with you in your backpack, belt, on the stroller, etc. Thanks to its compact size, it can easily be stored in the boat, car or caravan. It is not very cumbersome to take with you when you take a swing in the woods. Who knows, maybe you pick some spontaneous liters of blueberries when you’re out? And isn’t it so that you find the lots of berrys when you least expect it?

Flexible chair for your hallway

I do not know if it’s because I am getting a bit older or if there is something else. I would anyway like to have a chair or a stool in our hallway so that I can sit down when I put on my shoes. And I think I just found the perfect chair for this.

The chair with the beautiful name ”Uncompleted Chair” is just a chair that is not fully completed. You can decide how the final details should look like by placing a coat hanger or umbrella as backrest. Designer duo Chia-Wei, Lin and Jui-Lu, Shih has made a chair that at the same time works as storage. And it fits just perfect on small areas.

Tray that fixes ice cubes real easy

Sure you have had some problem to release the ice cubes from the ice cube tray you put in the freezer. You try with warm water and hits the tray on to the sink, with the result that all the ice cubes falls right down into the sink. No fun.

But as we know, there’s a solution to everything and so also to this. It has the product developers behind QuickSnap proven. With this ice cube tray you’ll easily loose the ice cubes one by one with a small lever at each ice cube. By pressing the lever the cube jumps out and you will get exactly as many as you need for your cool drink.

Nokia cell phone X2 released

Recently, Nokia has launched its new cell phone X2. The X2 is a little beauty with its 2.2 inch QVGA screen and its relatively small dimensions. It’s only 13mm thick and weighs only 81 grams. Nokia X2 comes with two built-in speakers, dedicated music keys, an FM stereo radio and a microSD card slot can handle cards with up to 16 GB memory. That the target group in particular is people who likes to listen to music and radio is thus clear.

Other features that this cell phone is offering is a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 connection so you can connect it to your computer to transfer your music and data.

Nokia X2 is also equipped with access to a range of social networks such as Facebook. Of course you can also get other apps for the cell phone from Ovi Store. It also has a 5 megapixel camera, which both can be used to record video and take pictures. Nokia X2 will cost about 85 euros.

Cradle for both baby and parent

Today we have a very tired parent of young children in the office who has been working hard this night. The hours at the cradle can as you may know be very many when you try to get a baby to sleep. It is strange that nobody thought of this clever piece of furniture before.

The cradle Rockid comes from the design studio Onterpduo in Holland. It allows you to sit and read a good book or surf on your laptop while you’re rocking your baby to sleep.

All in one – shelf and dock for your iPhone

Today there are innumerable docks for iPod / iPhone on the market. Many of them are taking much space, doesn’t look very good and sometimes it’s hard to find a good space for it. It is precisely these problems that the German company finite element has tried to solve when they constructed Hohrizontal 51. This gadget is not just a dock for your iPod or iPhone but also a nice shelf that is easily mounted on the wall. Speakers and electronics are built into the shelf.

The shelf has a maximum payload of about 25 kg which means it can handle a smaller flat-screen TV. You can of course use the built-in aux input to connect the sound from the TV. It also has a USB input so you can connect your computer, and an AV output lets you play videos from your iPod on your TV.

As I understand it should Hohrizontal 51 be available to purchase shortly. There are several designs to choose from. The price is unknown.
